February Luncheon

Speaker
Our speaker this month is Dr. Trevor Hancock.  He is a public health physician and health promotion consultant. He retired in 2018 from his role as Professor and Senior  Scholar at the School of Public Health and Social Policy at the University of Victoria.  He co-founded both the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment and the Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care and was the first leader of the Green Party of Canada in the mid 1980s.  He was one of the founders of the global Healthy Cities movement in the 1980s and has long worked to integrate health and sustainability at the local level, as well as the national and global level.  He is the author of a monthly column in The Times Colonist.  His topic will be “Towards a Wellbeing Society and a healthy One Planet Community”, with particular reference  to Victoria.

How to Book?

Fill in the required * boxes with names and dietary needs if applicable. “CHECKOUT NOW” or “SAVE AND VIEW CART ” if you want to make any changes.
On the Checkout page click “PLACE ORDER”
You will receive an email from SWANS saying SUCCESSFULLY REGISTERED
The cost is $40, paid by e transfer through your bank or at the door with cash or a cheque already made out to SWANS.
If you book and do not cancel 48 hours prior to the lunch, you are responsible for the payment and will not receive a refund.

NOTE:  There is construction at Exit 10 off of Highway 1.  It’s best to continue onto Exit 14, stay in the left lane signposted for Sooke. Once up onto |Veterans, drive through Langford and turn left on Goldstream. Ave.  The golf club will be on out your right hand side soon after turning onto Goldstream.
